The Green Valleys has been working with Powys Teaching Health Board to improve access to woodland at the Bronllys Hospital site. Supported by the Powys Forces Covenant, the new access will allow patients, staff and visitors to the hospital to get away from it all by spending time in the small but mature woodland on the hospital.
TGV has worked closely with Forces veterans over the last 6 months to finalise the route and 2 local schools will be involved in designing sculptures to line the trail. These sculptures will explore how our local communities and armed services link together, a key aim of the Forces Covenant grant. We hope to have the sculptures and seating installed in the woodland early in the new year. This work is linked to the creation of the At Ease garden completed this summer and also supported by the Covenant, to provide a secluded private space for one-to-ones with patients.
